The establishment of the "Centre for Research in Industry 4.0" or CRI4.0 is aimed at achieving these objectives:

To champion the R&D activities of Industry 4.0 in the country
To be the authoritative voice in the field of Industry 4.0 in Malaysia
To provide leadership to industries in adopting the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies
To develop talent and expertise to support Industry 4.0 initiatives
To be advisor to the relevant government agencies or units
To establish collaborative network with other instituitions to facilitate technology adoptions in the country
